Studies on THC Purport to Encompass the Whole Cannabis Plant

Western medicine continues to vilify medicinal cannabis by misreporting and misrepresenting studies on synthetic THC (known as dronabinol) and the negative results therein, as representation for the whole cannabis plant.

THC, or delta 9-tetrahydrocannabinol, the psychoactive compound in cannabis, was synthesized in the early sixties and has been the main cannabinoid in cannabis that has been studied extensively,

In 1985, the synthetic or lab produced form of THC, known under an international non-proprietary name (INN) dronabinol, was approved for commercial use by the FDA. Unfortunately in western medicine of late, scientific reports on the negative effects of THC are actually studies based on the synthetic THC called dronabinol. It is a manipulation of semantics by Big Pharma to interchange the name dronabinol, the synthetic THC, as THC - without any qualification. The deception is intentional mind you, since any negative aspect of the synthetic version, is deemed to apply to the plant itself. This is a low hand attempt at discrediting the whole plant based medicine and its entourage benefits.
